More Than Butterflies
by Kellee Kranendonk
Gut-wrenching, steel trap-jawed butterflies
Saw blade wings, I’d rather eat paint
Moisture-slicked body, adrenaline
Fueled, heart tapping faster than
A woodpecker’s beak
Having spent a lifetime writing, editing and/or doing other writing related things, Kellee made her first sale over twenty years ago. Now she has numerous pieces published or to be published. She considers everything a poem or story waiting to be written.
